Reviving You Recovery House promotes an alcohol and drug-free lifestyle for its residents through detoxification.
What Is Detoxification?
Detoxification is the process of removing substances such as drugs and toxins from the body. In addiction recovery or rehabilitation centers, detoxification is used to safely manage withdrawal symptoms when someone ceases taking alcohol or drugs.
The detoxification process is different for everyone as different substances have different side effects. How long a person has been dependent on alcohol or drugs also contributes to how a person withdraws from them.
Alcohol detox is the first step to treat alcoholism. How long alcohol detox will be ongoing will depend greatly on the severity and duration of a resident’s alcohol intake. Alcohol detox is a serious process that requires close monitoring and care by professionals.
Drug detox carries a wide range of possibilities for a resident during the process. Withdrawal from drugs can produce more physical symptoms or more mental symptoms. It can be uncomfortable and present risks. That is why it’s important for people to be in a comfortable and safe environment in the care of professionals like here at Reviving You Recovery House.
Detoxing Here at Reviving You Recovery House
Our detoxification program is designed to meet the needs of our residents according to their level of intoxication. It also aims to achieve a safe and supportive withdrawal for our residents from alcohol and/or other drugs and effectively facilitate their transition into a sober life.
The program starts with assessment screenings to identify the appropriate level of care our residents need. They will then be under the supervision of our staff 24/7 for the entire program implementation. Our counselors also provide crisis intervention and referral services in case the need arises.
